Sustainable development is a process based on the holistic development to ensure a comprehension and balanc. The needs to consider carefully all aspects of both social and economic environment. Opportunity for all parties to participate in the development by considering a holistic approach in terms of integration. The processes occur on a variety of different economies such as consider developing the capability to compete on the basis of their own resources, society and environment. The need to focus on the needs of all parties must be relevant to the social and cultural context, no negatively impact future development.
The concepts of sustainable development are generally three-dimensional agendas, including economic, social dimensions (include human capital, a factor of happy people and a base of economic value creation) and the dimensions of natural resources (education and the environment) when used in accordance with the principle of more integrated education for sustainable development, include the following elements: 1) the competitive advantage based on resources and capacity and ability of institutions 2) the ability to meet the needs of learners and stakeholder groups, and 3) the ability to adapt to the context of local and international. Principles of the 21st century learning should be integrated.
The measures of success of post graduate in this new paradigm will wider meaning than just a successful of non-profit education. But will include other indicators that reflect the degree of sustainability post graduate study such as the satisfaction of customers (including local communities) after completion of training, turnover from the government, the existence of local graduates and corporate social responsibility (CSR), etc. CSR have been particularly interested in today is one example of the trend of sustainable development.
