Contents: Quality indicator for community pharmacy is a tool for evaluating the quality of services provided by community pharmacy. It can points out the area for quality improvement. There are several domains of quality indicator and quality can be viewed in various perspectives. Good quality indicator must be valid, reliable, sensitive, acceptable and feasible in real situation. Method for quality indicator development can be by non systematic approach and by systematic approach. To assess quality by quality indicator, various techniques can be used: observation, interview, mystery drug shopper, combination of these techniques and self determining method.
Conclusion: Understanding the concept of quality indicator, steps of creating and developing quality indicator and having seen examples of applying quality indicator in real situations could enable us to improve the quality of community pharmacy services.
